E are now arrived at the last archer, Arn.aA, the characteristic of which is,

  • hatthc insects of both sexes, which compose. it, are without wings; though we shall find exceptions to this rule.   • There are but few species of the first genw' Lepisina, the chief of which, tno wn in our owu country, is, from its tapering fbrra and silvccy Jauc, called the Wood-fish.
